In the Lap of Jihaad
The Holy Uprising of Ahl e Haqq against Satanic Forces

With the help of Allaah Ta'aala, we human beings are able to perceive our sole purpose of our true existence. Our physical body is linked with the desires of this perishable worldly life (Aalam e Fasaad), whereas our soul, which is linked with the spiritual realm, is attracted towards the everlasting Hereafter (Aalam e Malakoot).

Based on this competition between perishable worldly life (duniyaa) and everlasting life of Hereafter (aakherat) we can classify the people in three categories:

  1. Those who are trapped in the world’s desires, luxuries, greed, temptations, allurements, envy, jealousy and arrogance. Its evil effects lead them towards devilish cravings (Nafs e Ammaarah).
  2. Those who are righteous, honest, holy and pure. Being aware of the treacherous worldly life, they keep Deen (religion) first and Duniyaa (world) second and take only what is needed for sustenance. They do not fall in the trap of materialistic desires. They have a proper control over their mind and soul.
  3. Those who are loosely hung in between the Duniyaa and the Aakherah, they often cross their limits and do not distinguish between reward and punishment.

They are unable to judge between the good and the bad and so they foolishly accept both. In this critical time, wherein movies, theatre, internet, advertisements, multimedia, games, social media and other unnecessary visual data or untimely-unneeded information continues to flood our mobile screens with vicious content, we need to be extra cautious so that we may protect ourselves and our families from it.

In this era of innovation, it is utmost necessary for us to focus and consolidate our good deeds so that we are protected from any types of evil desires and temptations. In order to safeguard ourselves from unnecessary desires, fancies and lust one must pay heed:

  • To lessen the evil traits such as envy, jealousy ,anger etc. in one’s behaviour.
  • To obey the rules of the Shari’at.
  • To adhere to the Sayings and Actions of Nabi saheb SAWS and his Ahl (progeny).

In this transitory world, there are millions of people who are engrossed in attaining just the luxuries of life. They are not at all concerned over the matters of Shari’at or Deen. In fact, they are more inclined towards evil & devilish acts. The good and righteous people prefer to stay away from the company of such sinful, shameless and wicked people. They fear that being with such bad company might spoil their reputation. Therefore, they keep distance from such people. These are the ones who are known as Mujahideen (the doer of holy deeds, ‘jihaad’).

The meaning of Jihaad differs when it is interpreted during the time of Da'i uz Zamaan TUS who is in place of Imaam uz Zamaan AS. Imaam can give the command of Jihaad only, and it is not permitted for the people to do Jihaad without the orders of Imaam. It is under the jurisdiction of Da’i that when he foresees any kind of danger in the life or property of his believers, then he can give the command to do Jihaad in order to protect one’s rights. It becomes very essential for the Da'i to protect the mumineen of Jamaa’at from the attack of the enemies.

In the current scenario, we observe that in order to carry out the routine tasks of life, our body does Jihaad in the form of hard work but true Jihaad is the Jihaad of the soul (Nafs), which we need to make it pure and perfect. Only then can we enter the realm of Jihaad. The first stage of this is: To understand the significance of 18th Zul  Hijjah, the day when Rasoolullaah SAWS appointment Maulaana Ali Ameer ul Mumineen AS as his successor (Wasi), and to obey the convenant of this day. M. Ali AS is the master of Jihaad, so entering the realm of M. Ali means entering the realm of jihaad. One who constantly believes in the successor of M. Ali i.e. Imaam uz Zamaan is considered as Mujaahid (the doer of Jihaad). We pray to Allaah Ta’aala that may we always be a part of Daaman e Jihaad that in turn symbolizes the selfless love for Maulaana Ali AS.
